Revitalised North-West TB Caucus Takes Bold Steps in TB Advocacy
The North-West Provincial TB Caucus has been successfully revitalised, marking a renewed commitment to strengthening the province’s TB response. In partnership with the Head of Secretariat of the North-West Provincial Council for AIDS, the Caucus is currently finalising a comprehensive implementation plan to guide its advocacy and outreach activities.
Demonstrating strong momentum, members of the Caucus played an active role in this year’s World TB Day (WTD) provincial commemorations, as well as in several awareness-raising activities in the lead-up to the event. Their focus was clear to drive demand for TB services and to raise community awareness around prevention, testing, and treatment.
Importantly, members of the Caucus have pledged to use their leadership platforms to advocate for TB efforts across the province. This includes championing TB in planned community engagement initiatives and ensuring that the fight against TB remains a top public health priority.
dialogues and local clinic visits as part of build-up activities for other health commemorative days going forward. Members continue to be supported by the TB Ambassadors, SANAC, and NW PCA.
